Description
Atlas is designed to hold the cosmos of Bitmap for as long as Bitcoin shall live. This demo contains a browser for exploring Bitmap re-inscriptions, and a host of curated apps to showcase what is possible on Bitcoin with Bitmap and Ordinals.
How to Browse Bitmap
You can browse Bitmap inscription content by entering Bitmap ID’s.
- Load up Atlas v.0.3 Desktop launcher
- Go to Atlas Browse
- Enter bitmap address, sat number, or inscription ID
- Resolves to latest inscription on Bitmap or Sat, or Inscription ID

Atlas is described as a persistent operating system for the Bitmap and Ordinals ecosystem. Version 0.3 includes a desktop demo with the Atlas browse app, a task manager and nine featured apps like Atlas Blocks, BitNav and Bitmap Sunset. The concept is innovative and shows what’s possible with on-chain applications, but the OS is slow, lacks instructions and doesn’t persist state across sessions. A tutorial, tooltips and better performance would make it more usable.
